As a child psychologist and a proud mother of three, my professional passion is also my personal mission…to cultivate peace in the world by nurturing inner peace in our children. My bi-cultural identity as an Iranian-American also gives me a unique insight, desire, and opportunity to influence multi-cultural understanding & peace through media outlets within my own community and on a global level. Every day, I am inspired to implement this vision through the five foundation principles of Peace-Learning Parenting: compassion, communication, cooperation, culture, and conservation. It is my earnest belief that these simple principles can be applied to the most complex issues facing the world…in light of this belief, Peace Learning Parenting is not merely my contribution – it is my conviction….my calling.

What is Peace Learning exactly?

I summarize Peace Learning as The Five C’s. Just as we have our daily vitamins to supplement our physical health The Five C’s are every bit as potent for the health of our mind, emotions and relationships. The Five C’s are Compassion, Communication, Cooperation, Culture, and Conservation.

Listening to children’s feelings of anger, fear, and frustration at events in the home, the neighborhood, and the larger society, will benefit the whole world.
